About the Role
The Project Engineer role supports small to medium‑size roads infrastructure projects, typically up to $50 million in installed cost. Working under the Project Manager, you will help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards. • Assist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising and controlling roads infrastructure projects. • Support development of project schedules, budgets and deliverables aligned with standards and client expectations. • Oversee design, construction and maintenance phases, including pavement design, drainage systems and traffic management. • Forecast monthly revenue, labor costs, other direct costs and gross profit for the project term. • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial goals. • Handle project invoicing, billing and track accounts receivable and payable. • Establish and maintain Project Management, Health & Safety, and QA/QC plans to ensure compliance. • Monitor project deliverables for quality standards and assign responsibilities to team members. • Negotiate scope changes with clients and subcontractors for roads infrastructure components. • Maintain regular communication with clients, subconsultants and subcontractors to ensure alignment. • Identify and pursue additional work opportunities within transportation and infrastructure sectors. • Contribute to career development plans and identify training needs for project staff. • Participate in staffing plans and support employee performance management. • Represent Parsons at industry conferences and networking events to build relationships in the roads sector. • Prepare abstracts and presentations for conferences on roads infrastructure topics. • Track project progress—including cost, schedule and scope—and provide updates to senior leadership. • Maintain current change orders and other project documentation. • Promote technical and commercial excellence through Quality Assurance processes. • Support proposal development, client meetings and presentations for project pursuits. • Assist in business development and marketing efforts for roads infrastructure projects. • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with a focus on transportation, and bring at least three years of experience on roads infrastructure projects. Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills, combined with knowledge of relevant regulations and technology, are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related technical/business field with a transportation focus. • Possess at least three years of experience on roads infrastructure projects. • Demonstrate strong organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple priorities. • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills. • Know industry practices, regulations and current technology applicable to roads projects.
