About the Role
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic assemblies, components, cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, prototypes, test fixtures, and test beds. • Read and follow electronic and RF schematics; assemble and test RF cables and terminate associated RF connectors. • Provide electronics technician services to the various FAALC Group/Product Divisions to help assure that electronic systems, subsystems, and components meet serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements. • Utilize Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, and Network Analyzers; perform through-hole and surface mount soldering. • Production and repair of electronic cables and wire harnesses. • Perform equipment performance analyses, information collection, and reporting. • Perform equipment adjustment, testing, calibration, certification, and modifications. • Perform moderate physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and operating cranes, trucks, tractors, or motor vehicles. • Perform troubleshooting, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation services for designated equipment at the request of FAALC Product Divisions or Groups. • Complete all tasks in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures. • Install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, modifications, and engineering prototypes. • Installation and maintenance of NAS Radomes. • Assemble cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, and electronic assemblies per technical documentation.

What You Bring
• Voter registration card. • Able to identify and interpret basic analog and digital circuit schematics and symbols (e.g., resistor, capacitor, inductor, transistor, IC, etc.). • Circuit board testing and repair (including trace work and eyelet repair). • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills. • Must possess TWO forms of unexpired identification to meet eligibility requirements. • One Primary form of government-issued identification, selected from the following: • NAVAID antenna and component repair and overhaul. • Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID card. • Able to perform basic electronics troubleshooting using standard test equipment (e.g., measure voltage, current, resistance; identify opens, shorts, and grounds). • Ability to assemble, test, and terminate RF cables and connectors; experience with Network Analyzers is preferred. • NACI Clearance • ability to obtain Public Trust. • Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551). • U.S. Military or U.S. Military dependent’s ID Card with photograph. • U.S. Government Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card. • certificate of U.S. Citizenship or Naturalization. • Original or certified copy of a birth certificate. • U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card. • ESQP training or certifications desired but not required. • Rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting and repair. • Familiarity with the purpose and operation of basic electronics test equipment, including but not limited to multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, AC/DC power supplies, and power meters. • U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Transportation ID Card. • Experienced in through-hole soldering and de-soldering; surface mount soldering experience preferred. • Minimum High School diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses OR Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
