About the Role

The mid‑level BMS Engineer will create control designs, prepare BMS drawings, sequencing of operations, specifications and system‑design calculations, and support project execution under the guidance of a BMS design lead. Responsibilities include preparing integrated systems specifications for sectors such as aviation, critical facilities, finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and light industry, as well as reviewing submittals, RFIs, and generating equipment selection reports. • Prepare BMS drawings, operation sequences, specifications, and perform system design calculations. • Assist in equipment selection for building systems and author related reports. • Review submittals and RFIs to support project execution. • Attend project meetings and serve as liaison with clients and contractors. • Coordinate with internal PICs, project managers, site leaders, and practice area leaders. • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design teams. • Develop control designs and integrated system specifications for sectors such as aviation, critical facilities, finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and light industry. • Travel nationwide to site locations and interact with internal and client personnel. • Participate in a 401(k) plan with generous employer match, professional development courses, incentive bonuses, and employee resource groups.

What You Bring

The role requires close collaboration with internal PICs, project managers, site leaders, and the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design teams, as well as regular interaction with clients and contractors. Travel to project sites across the United States may be required to interface directly with stakeholders and state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) and have 18 months to 7+ years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS/BMS/EPMS/DCIM/SCADA design, implementation or operations. Required knowledge includes HVAC/electrical instrumentation design, building control sequences and building IT infrastructure. Strong communication, organization, teamwork abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment are essential; EIT certification and active involvement with ASHRAE, CABA, or similar societies are a plus. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred). • Possess 18 months to 7+ years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS/BMS/EPMS/DCIM/SCADA design, implementation, or operations. • Demonstrate knowledge of HVAC/electrical instrumentation design, building control sequences, and building IT infrastructure. • Exhibit strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills; ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. • Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) certification and active participation in ASHRAE, CABA, or similar organizations are advantageous.
