About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will lead a team of service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for complex problems, managing projects, and mentoring both service and contract technicians. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, leading preventive‑maintenance audits, installing and servicing control components such as relay logic, motor starters, and sensors, and managing work orders with detailed labor and parts data. The technician will also develop training plans, create emergency repair work plans for critical assets, lift up to 49 lb, stand and walk during 12‑hour shifts, and travel at least 20% of the time. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Train and mentor service and contract technicians. • Promote safety compliance and follow all safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components. • Conduct and audit preventive‑maintenance programs. • Create, close, and track work orders with labor and parts data. • Develop training plans and emergency repair procedures for critical assets.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible scheduling availability, three or more years of preventive‑maintenance experience, blueprint and schematic interpretation skills, and work‑order management experience. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, five or more years with automated conveyors and controls, robotic maintenance experience, vendor management, leadership background, and proficiency with a CMMS. Physical demands involve repetitive bending, crouching, reaching, lifting average 20 lb (up to 49 lb), standing for long periods on concrete, working at heights, and navigating cramped, dusty, or noisy environments. The role may require handling bulky equipment and operating in hot or cold temperatures. • Travel up to 20% and work shifts up to 12 hours, handling loads up to 49 lb. • Required: high school diploma, 3+ years preventive‑maintenance, blueprint reading, work‑order management. • Preferred: associate degree (mechanical/electrical), 5+ years automated conveyor experience, robotic maintenance, vendor management, CMMS proficiency. • Physical demands include repetitive bending, lifting 20‑49 lb, standing on concrete, working in confined spaces and heights.
