About the Role
• Assist the Environmental Manager in leading and mentoring a team of environmental specialists. • Ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, especially BLM requirements. • Communicate environmental restrictions to construction managers, crews, and schedulers. • Develop and implement compliance plans such as SWPPP, SPCC, dust management, and reclamation strategies. • Support construction teams during pre‑construction, planning, and permitting phases. • Conduct and oversee environmental impact, site, and risk assessments. • Manage acquisition of environmental and local permits and ensure adherence to permit conditions. • Coordinate with the Owner’s environmental team and CIC to obtain necessary variances. • Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address concerns and maintain transparent communication. • Implement and oversee environmental monitoring programs, maintain accurate records, and prepare regulatory reports. • Develop mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impacts and support project success. • Provide training and guidance on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements. • Respond to environmental incidents under manager direction, ensuring mitigation and proper reporting.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of environmental compliance experience, preferably in the transmission line or energy industry. • Experience conducting pre‑construction surveys, SWPPP inspections, and biological monitoring. • Experience working with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, particularly the BLM. • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISEC, CESSWI, CPESC) are a plus. • Strong leadership, team collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities. • Proficiency in GIS, field data collection, Microsoft Excel, and Word for documentation and reporting.
