About the Role
The Lead Sales Engineer will market and sell Eaton’s electrical distribution and engineering services, managing an assigned customer base, driving profitable sales, and providing application guidance and technical assistance. The role also involves developing and maintaining relationships with Eaton employees, specifiers, customers, and authorized distributors. • Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations. • Quote projects and negotiate pricing. • Prepare sales presentations to increase product understanding. • Build relationships with key customers and distribution partners. • Resolve technical and quality issues with factories and customers. • Conduct market analysis to adapt to pricing and delivery changes. • Coordinate sales efforts and keep management informed of market conditions. • Participate in ongoing functional and technical training.

What You Bring
Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is hiring a Utility Lead Sales Engineer for a hybrid role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Grapevine, San Antonio, or Austin, TX. • Hold a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of electrical industry sales or engineering experience. • Possess a valid driver’s license and reside within 50 miles of specified Texas locations. • Preferred: bachelor’s in electrical/mechanical engineering, utility market sales experience, channel management, project management, consulting engineer collaboration. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce. • Ability to travel 30‑60 % within the assigned territory. • Knowledge of utility industry competitors, products, and T&D segment. • Demonstrated business acumen, decision‑making, and results‑driven attitude. • Project management and time‑management capabilities. • Ability to provide technical solutions tailored to customer needs.

Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary plus performance incentives, targeting a total range of $120,000–$176,000, and is based on skills, experience, and market considerations.
