About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. They follow assigned route sheets, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities, and interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. The position requires monitoring waste for unacceptable material, tagging problematic containers, cleaning spills according to safety policies, and maintaining the truck’s cleanliness and operational readiness. Drivers also complete required productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports while meeting productivity standards, following safety policies, and participating in the ReSOP program.
