About the Role
The Assistant Program Manager – Mechanical will support planning and management of mechanical systems in building construction projects. The role ensures HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems are delivered on time, within budget, and meet design and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include managing the mechanical scope across multiple projects, coordinating with design consultants, MEP engineers, and contractors, and supporting project planning activities such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. The incumbent will monitor installation progress, participate in design reviews, assist procurement, track RFIs, submittals, and change orders, conduct site inspections for quality and safety, resolve design or installation issues, maintain documentation, and provide regular progress reports while ensuring integration with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines. • Manage mechanical scope across multiple construction projects. • Coordinate with design consultants, MEP engineers, and contractors during planning and execution. • Support scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for mechanical systems. • Monitor installation progress to ensure compliance with design specs, timelines, and quality standards. • Participate in design reviews and advise on system efficiency and constructability. • Assist procurement of mechanical materials and subcontractors. • Track and manage mechanical RFIs, submittals, and change orders. • Conduct site inspections to verify work quality, safety compliance, and code adherence. • Resolve mechanical design or installation issues during construction. • Maintain project documentation and provide regular progress reports to senior management. • Ensure integration of mechanical systems with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field and have 3–5 years of experience with mechanical systems in the construction industry, preferably in buildings. Required knowledge includes HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection design and installation, building codes, ASHRAE standards, and local regulations. Strong organizational, project coordination, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM software such as Revit MEP. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field. • Possess 3–5 years of mechanical systems experience in construction, preferably buildings. • Demonstrate knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection design and installation, and relevant codes/ASHRAE standards. • Exhibit strong organizational, project coordination, and communication skills. • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM software such as Revit MEP.

Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 – $170,000 depending on experience. No staffing‑agency candidates will be considered for this role. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
