About the Role

Daily responsibilities include collecting, preparing, and performing complex soil, aggregate, and rock sampling and testing, as well as producing and reviewing NATA‑compliant test reports. The technician will also lead and mentor the junior laboratory team, conduct calibration checks, and uphold laboratory quality management standards. • Collect, prepare, and perform complex soil, aggregate, and rock sampling and testing. • Produce and review NATA‑compliant test reports. • Lead, mentor, and manage the junior laboratory team. • Conduct calibration checks and maintain laboratory quality management systems. • Perform site inspections and testing across Central Queensland. • Complete a pre‑employment medical assessment. • Participate in mental health and wellbeing programs. • Utilize an employee assistance program.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold at least a Certificate III in a geotechnical discipline or laboratory management, possess a valid driver’s licence, and be familiar with relevant Australian Standards for construction material testing. Additional requirements include a radiation licence with experience using a nuclear radiation densometer, the ability to multitask across varied projects, and readiness to complete a pre‑employment medical assessment. • Hold a minimum Certificate III in geotechnical field or laboratory management. • Demonstrate ability to multitask across a broad spectrum of projects. • Possess a valid driver’s licence. • Be familiar with Australian Standards for construction materials testing. • Hold a radiation licence and have experience operating a nuclear radiation densometer.
