About the Role
The Kitchen Porter (part‑time casual) carries out general cleaning duties and operates pot‑washing machinery to deliver an excellent guest and member experience, while ensuring back‑of‑house areas are clean and safety guidelines are followed. The role may also involve assisting in food preparation. In this position you will keep all back‑of‑house areas tidy, adhere to COSHH and health‑and‑safety standards, and maintain a hygienic environment, reporting any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor. • Operate pot‑washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards • Carry out general cleaning as directed, including sweeping, mopping, washing up, emptying rubbish bins and boxes, ensuring proper placement and a tidy bin area • Ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to • Observe COSHH guidelines when handling hazardous substances and comply with all health and safety requirements • Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
