About the Role
The Maintenance Technician supports the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repair of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment at assigned properties. The role operates in a professional office environment and regularly uses standard office equipment, while also performing on‑site tasks that may require standing, walking, climbing, and occasional heavy lifting. The employee must communicate effectively, operate computers, and be prepared for emergency response and on‑call duties. • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Install and modify building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost‑saving measures. • Use and maintain tools and equipment for facility and grounds upkeep. • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards and preventive maintenance. • Operate fire and life‑safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps. • Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal as needed. • Comply with codes, regulations, company directives, and safe work practices. • Utilize technology like smartphones, tablets, computers, web applications, and building automation systems. • Complete all required C&W safety training annually. • Follow C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance. • May work alone on duty, handle extended shifts, overtime, shift work, and on‑call responsibilities.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multitasking, and a sense of urgency. • Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. • Possess 2+ years of experience in a commercial property setting. • Have technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, power transmission, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required. • Possess basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.20 to $32.00 per hour, with pay adjusted for location, experience, collective bargaining status, and other eligibility factors.
