About the Role
The position is a full‑time traveling assignment within Turner’s Critical Facilities‑Data Centers division, supporting Advanced Technology projects that span data centers, pharmaceutical, industrial/manufacturing, and EV/battery/renewables market segments. The role is based in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, or MEP Manager. The Superintendent provides overall leadership for the mechanical and electrical scope of the project, overseeing performance and supervising the on‑site team. • Lead, direct, and coordinate subcontractors and Turner trade labor for mechanical and electrical systems. • Ensure safety, schedule adherence, quality work, and budget compliance. • Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, interns, and trade labor. • Manage scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels for assigned trades. • Resolve local issues related to procedures, design clarifications, labor, equipment, and schedule. • Oversee site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes. • Conduct performance appraisals for supervised staff. • Create schedules, sequence work, and develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule and budget. • Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues. • Manage billing, monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments. • Ensure installations comply with contract documents and approved designs. • Coordinate mechanical and electrical system layouts with engineers using 3D models and master coordination drawings. • Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, training, and punchlist activities. • Direct and monitor subcontractor and supplier activities for code and specification compliance. • Review project changes with the Project Engineer. • Maintain detailed daily records of MEPS trade progress. • Participate in preconstruction activities such as constructability reviews and logistics planning.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or have at least four years of engineering or architectural experience plus six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience, with strong knowledge of building construction, scheduling, cost control, and BIM coordination of M/E systems. The role requires physical ability to climb ladders, stairs, and use hoists, as well as to lift up to 75 lb, and involves working on active construction sites exposed to moving machinery, heights, fumes, weather, and electrical hazards.
