About the Role

A typical day involves delivering fieldwork for ground remediation and contaminated‑land projects, managing site investigations, remediation works, validation sampling and monitoring across the Northern Territory. The incumbent will oversee project performance, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage clients, regulators and stakeholders, and contribute to business‑development efforts while fostering a supportive, knowledge‑sharing team culture. • Conduct fieldwork for ground remediation and contaminated‑land projects, including investigations, remediation works, validation sampling and monitoring across the NT. • Manage environmental projects end‑to‑end, overseeing scope, schedule, budget and coordination with clients and internal teams. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, client‑focused outcomes and support business‑development initiatives. • Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders throughout project delivery. • Contribute to a positive team culture and knowledge‑sharing environment.

What You Bring

In Darwin, the Environmental team is recruiting a Professional to Principal Environmental Scientist or Engineer to support projects for defence, government, mining and energy sectors. The role offers hands‑on experience in impact assessments, contaminated‑land investigations, hydrology, water‑quality monitoring, biodiversity surveys and environmental‑management planning, combining the agility of a small office with the resources of a global consultancy. Candidates should hold a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline, possess a valid Australian driver’s licence and Australian citizenship, and have experience or strong interest in ground remediation and contaminated‑land assessment. They must be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, communicate technical concepts clearly, and demonstrate a collaborative, proactive attitude with a commitment to quality work. Experience managing full‑cycle environmental projects is desirable. • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field; valid Australian driver’s licence and Australian citizenship. • Experience or strong interest in ground remediation, contaminated‑land assessment, soil and groundwater remediation. • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and thrive in a team‑focused setting. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly. • Collaborative mindset, proactive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work; experience managing environmental projects is desirable.
