About the Role

Key duties include delivering in‑depth technical expertise for engineering analysis, programs, and equipment‑system problem resolution; leading short‑term and long‑term initiatives that affect site operations; ensuring accurate, complete, and timely work that adheres to design criteria, codes, and configuration‑management standards; conducting independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses; recommending equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, and maintain regulatory compliance; and providing emergency‑response, outage, and departmental coverage support as required. • Deliver technical expertise for engineering analysis, program development, and equipment/system issue resolution. • Lead short‑term and long‑term engineering initiatives impacting nuclear plant operations. • Ensure design work is accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with codes, standards, and configuration‑management procedures. • Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, and meet regulatory changes. • Provide emergency‑response, outage support, and departmental coverage as needed.

What You Bring

The position performs advanced technical and engineering problem solving to support nuclear plant operations, serving as a resource and technical expert for engineers and making key technical decisions. It requires deep knowledge of the functional discipline and applicable industry codes and regulations. Mid‑level engineers must hold a Bachelor’s degree in chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear engineering and have at least two years of nuclear or related engineering experience. Senior engineers require the same degree plus five years of nuclear or related experience. All candidates must meet minimum access requirements, including unescorted access and a favorable medical examination. Experience in instrumentation and controls or electrical engineering is strongly preferred, as are leadership skills to drive organizational initiatives. Supervisory experience is desirable but not required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear engineering. • Possess 2 years (mid‑level) or 5 years (senior) of nuclear or related engineering experience. • Satisfy minimum access clearance and pass required medical examinations. • Preferred: experience in instrumentation & controls or electrical engineering and strong leadership abilities.
