About the Role
Key responsibilities include overseeing technical accuracy, managing design tasks such as grading and drainage, conducting ordinance reviews, and performing site visits during construction. The manager will also handle quality control, develop project schedules, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Financial duties involve preparing proposals, invoices, and monitoring project profitability while providing client updates and mentoring junior engineers. • Oversee technical accuracy and ensure standard engineering practices in plans and reports. • Manage and review design tasks (conceptual planning, grading, drainage) for value engineering. • Conduct final ordinance reviews, coordinate utility research, respond to agencies, and perform construction site visits. • Ensure quality control of all project documents. • Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions. • Develop project schedules and construction timelines. • Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. • Prepare proposal scopes, schedules, and change orders. • Perform financial management: invoicing, accounts receivable, and project profitability. • Lead engineers independently and mentor junior staff. • Provide client management with status updates and discussions. • Enforce company AutoCAD standards for layering and details.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, at least eight years of relevant experience, and preferably a Professional Engineer license. Experience with land development, commercial and industrial projects, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D are essential. Strong communication, analytical abilities, and knowledge of local land‑use regulations are also required. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. • Valid driver’s license preferred. • Experience in land development, commercial and industrial projects. • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to mentor junior staff. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Attention to detail, analytical and judgment abilities. • Knowledge of local land use processes and regulations. • Advanced skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and site development design. • Ability to work independently and in a team. • Construction oversight experience preferred.
