About the Role

The HSE Site Leader will direct, plan, and maintain occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the highest level of protection for employees and plant facilities. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and works collaboratively to drive company safety initiatives. Key duties include identifying hazardous conditions, conducting inspections and audits, developing and implementing control measures, and measuring their effectiveness. The leader also creates training programs, manages the safety committee, oversees workers’ compensation and OSHA reporting, and leads emergency response planning for chemical, fire, medical, and severe weather incidents. • Identify, evaluate, and control hazardous conditions; conduct on‑site inspections and audits. • Advise management on compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. • Develop and implement hazard control programs; measure effectiveness and recommend improvements. • Create and deliver safety and environmental training; lead safety committees and orientation programs. • Analyze incident data, manage workers’ compensation, and ensure accurate OSHA reporting. • Lead emergency response planning and execution for chemical, medical, fire, and severe weather events. • Oversee environmental compliance programs (hearing conservation, waste, air, water, community right‑to‑know). • Maintain records, prepare regulatory reports, and serve as primary liaison with insurance and risk management.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and have at least four years of experience managing health, safety, and environmental programs. Required skills include strong communication, independent work capability, team leadership, knowledge of ISO, OHSAS 18001, OSHA standards, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, risk management, environmental engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum four years of experience managing HSE programs. • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and lead teams. • Knowledge of ISO, OHSAS 18001, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to develop training materials and records. • Physical ability to perform manufacturing floor activities and respond to hazards.
