About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Part Time School Cleaner to join our Health and Education team. In this role you will help maintain a high standard of cleaning services throughout our school facilities, supporting learning activities with a clean and hygienic environment. You will report to the Cleaning Manager and deliver high‑quality outcomes that support our essential services. Key responsibilities include cleaning offices and common areas, bathrooms and toilets, classroom spaces, and outdoor areas, as well as removing garbage and managing waste disposal. The role offers a broad scope of tasks aimed at ensuring the school environment is safe and tidy for students and staff. Downer plans, creates, and sustains essential public services across Australia and New Zealand, managing critical infrastructure such as hospitals, data centres, and defence partnerships. What You Bring

The successful candidate will have demonstrated cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial setting, and be able to perform consistently to a high standard. Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a reliable work ethic with a positive attitude are essential. Availability is required Monday‑Friday from 3 pm to 7:30 pm.
