About the Role

The Maintenance Mechanic role focuses on supporting operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned facilities. This includes performing inspections and repairs to both interior and exterior areas such as walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting. Daily responsibilities involve repairing and restoring building components, maintaining locks, doors, furniture, and plumbing fixtures, as well as painting interior and exterior surfaces. The mechanic also moves equipment, conducts facility inspections, responds to emergencies, adheres to safety protocols, cleans HVAC systems, and documents work performed and material procurement. • Repair, maintain, and replace building structural components. • Maintain and document fire extinguishers and other building systems. • Repair plumbing fixtures including toilets, sinks, drains, water heaters, and sump pumps. • Paint interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks. • Conduct interior maintenance such as hanging pictures and installing keyboard trays. • Complete special tasks including locksmith work, tenant service requests, and painting projects. • Relocate office furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed. • Perform facility inspections and report conditions affecting occupancy. • Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure safety compliance. • Follow hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal procedures. • Participate in technical, safety, and operational training programs. • Clean HVAC coils, replace filters and belts, and conduct vehicle safety inspections. • Document work performance, material procurement, and complete hazard assessments. • Apply basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge to troubleshoot issues.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be self‑motivated, and possess basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC skills, along with proficiency in hand and power tools. Preferred qualifications include vocational training, the ability to read plans and work orders, OSHA 10‑hour certification, and prior experience in commercial real estate or facility management. The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lb and work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied weather conditions. • Service locks, doors, furniture, and control mechanisms.
