About the Role

The on‑site Project Manager will act as the leader for assigned projects, planning and executing work to ensure client satisfaction. Responsibilities include delegating tasks, managing subcontractors, and coordinating communication with customers throughout each project phase. The role requires delivering projects on time and within budget. Key duties involve meeting with clients to capture requirements, preparing pre‑construction documentation, schedules, specifications, and tender drawings, and overseeing a portfolio of Mechanical and Electrical contractors. The manager will control project costs, conduct budgeting and financial analysis, and maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders, including specialized consultants. Monitoring milestones, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, and verifying proper installation of M&E services are also essential. • Lead on‑site project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring client satisfaction. • Delegate tasks and manage subcontractors to meet project timelines and budgets. • Conduct client meetings to define requirements and document expectations. • Prepare and review pre‑construction documents, schedules, specifications, schematics, and tender drawings. • Manage a portfolio of Mechanical and Electrical contractors and coordinate collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. • Oversee cost procurement, budgeting, and financial analysis to achieve target profitability. • Maintain proactive communication with clients, internal teams, and specialized consultants. • Monitor project milestones, update schedules, and ensure adherence to agreed timelines. • Supervise installation of M&E services, verifying compliance with specifications and standards. • Enforce Health, Safety, and Fire regulations and company policies on‑site. • Verify receipt and archiving of certifications, drawings, correspondence, and financial records. • Provide technical support to other departments to ensure project cohesion. • Produce progress reports and analysis for management decision‑making. • Identify scope limits, change‑order requirements, and notice periods for project adjustments. • Determine appropriate pricing strategies (fixed‑price, T&M, GMP) aligned with client expectations. • Conduct pre‑job meetings, distribute agendas, and circulate minutes to all stakeholders.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have at least ten years of experience in construction, design, and cost management as an Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager. Knowledge of HVAC systems, proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and estimation tools such as Accubid and MEP are required. Experience managing large commercial, institutional, or industrial projects valued at N10 million or more is preferred. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Minimum 10 years experience in construction, design, and cost management as an Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager. • Proven knowledge of HVAC systems and experience with large commercial, institutional, or industrial projects ≥ N10 million. • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint) and estimation software (Accubid, MEP). • Strong estimating, site‑surveying, project sequencing, and materials knowledge.
