About the Role
The role involves executing advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks, conducting independent research and analyses, and providing in‑depth expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities that ensure plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities also include accurate and timely configuration management, problem resolution, equipment recommendations, support for design modifications and testing, and oversight of engineering products against safety analyses and codes. The position may also supervise engineering personnel, manage budgets, and participate in emergency response or outage activities. • Perform advanced nuclear engineering tasks to support plant safety, reliability, and availability. • Conduct independent research, reviews, and analyses for technical projects. • Provide technical expertise to develop and implement engineering activities compliant with regulations. • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of engineering work with proper configuration management. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct consultation. • Manage engineering issues from initial assessment through completion. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and address design or regulatory changes. • Support plant design modifications, testing, and problem solving. • Oversee engineering products to meet safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. • Lead functional supervisory activities, including personnel management and budgeting for engineering staff. • Participate in emergency response, department duty coverage, and outage support as needed. • Maintain required access permissions and pass mandatory medical examinations.

What You Bring
The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced engineering problem‑solving in support of nuclear plant operations, making technical decisions and applying superior knowledge of functional disciplines, industry codes, and regulations. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) and at least ten years of engineering experience, along with demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to meet access and medical requirements. Preferred qualifications are Professional Engineer registration, advanced technical education, experience with PRA model development, or an SRO license. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least ten years of relevant experience. • Demonstrated technical leadership, teamwork, and supervisory abilities. • Preferred: Professional Engineer registration, advanced degree, PRA model experience, or SRO license.
