About the Role
The Production Manager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to meet customer and company objectives. It ensures safe and efficient operations in designated areas and seeks a dynamic, motivated leader focused on execution, problem‑solving, and team motivation. • Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors, leads, and skilled trades, to achieve goals. • Oversee daily operations to ensure adherence to fabrication plans, schedules, and quality requirements. • Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to align resources with production priorities and deadlines. • Provide active feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact. • Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment by upholding 5S standards and promoting continuous improvement. • Enforce all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. • Monitor and analyze KPIs such as production output, on‑time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents. • Maintain accurate documentation for all assigned projects and areas. • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules. • Work in a steel fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment. • Perform standing, walking, bending, and lifting tasks up to 75 lbs as needed. • Contribute to building bridges that connect tomorrow’s communities.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate proven leadership with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude. • Possess 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication and understand throughput optimization. • Exhibit excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities. • Apply knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. • Wear required PPE at all times.
