About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer role is based in San Diego (UTC area) with a hybrid schedule—on‑site Monday through Thursday and remote on Friday—focused on the full‑lifecycle development of a critical analytics product. • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, reusable, maintainable applications handling large data volumes. • Own the full development lifecycle from coding to production support. • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and leadership. • Serve as a trusted advisor on technical architecture, design, and code quality. • Advocate for technical and process improvements, exploring new tools and best practices. • Develop deep understanding of CoStar’s business and analytics products. • Apply software development best practices: code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience. • Strong object‑oriented programming fundamentals and experience with C#, .NET Framework, Web API, and Node. • Familiarity with modern front‑end technologies such as JavaScript and React. • Expertise in relational databases, e.g., SQL Server. • Proficient with source control tools like Git or TFS. • Preferred: experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). • Preferred: strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Preferred: exposure to NoSQL technologies (Redis, Neo4j, etc.).
