About the Role
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying leads and proactively prospecting and selling new and profitable business within an assigned geographic area. The role requires selling the full suite of Republic Services products, including small and large containers for municipal solid waste and recycling, as well as electronic and universal recycling. The Account Executive meets regularly with prospective new clients in the assigned market to deliver sales presentations, follow up with key decision makers and sell all services, including total waste stream management solutions, as appropriate. The Account Executive identifies viable leads, manages prospects, and acquires new commercial, industrial, and recycling business to exceed monthly revenue targets. They follow up on leads from Lead Generators within two hours, log tasks in Salesforce, and use the system daily to schedule and document activities and build customer profiles. Duties include preparing and delivering sales presentations, conducting cold‑call prospecting, and maintaining market and competitive awareness to anticipate customer needs. They also ensure thorough knowledge of the company’s services and pricing, offer additional solutions to grow revenue, complete required paperwork, and regularly review performance with the Sales Manager. Participation in trade shows, chamber events, and community activities helps increase company visibility.

What You Bring
Preferred candidates have waste or service industry experience. Minimum qualifications include at least two years of direct selling experience in a customer‑facing role, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to identify and address customer needs.
