About the Role
The Journeyman role at Bergelectric Corp involves installing new electrical systems and repairing existing ones across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential locations. The position requires strict adherence to national, state, and local electrical codes as well as Bergelectric Corp policies, and is classified as safety‑sensitive. In this position you will install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems, using hand and power tools to measure, cut, bend, and thread wiring, cable, and conduit. Responsibilities also include pulling and terminating wires in control centers and distribution boxes, building control panels from drawings, preparing schematic diagrams, delegating tasks, training staff, and communicating effectively with foremen and crew to meet productivity targets. • Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. • Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, bend, and thread wire, cable, and conduit. • Pull, feed, and terminate wiring in control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, and switchgear. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points and troubleshoot equipment and control circuits. • Build control panels from drawings and prepare schematic diagrams of wiring locations. • Delegate tasks, train employees, and communicate effectively with foremen and crew. • Ensure compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and company safety policies. • Install lighting, fire protection, security, and data network power systems. • Read and interpret electrical single‑line blueprints; build and maintain control panels. • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. • Verify compliance and functionality of installations. • Manage project crews, material estimates, and demonstrate leadership and pre‑planning abilities. • Perform tasks in diverse weather conditions and high‑noise environments.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license where required and be capable of installing lighting, fire‑protection, security, and data‑network power systems. Experience with electrical single‑line blueprints, fault diagnosis, control‑panel construction, and project or crew management is essential, along with strong leadership, pre‑planning, and material‑estimation skills. The role demands physical effort such as lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, bending conduit, and working while wearing a 25 lb tool belt.
