About the Role

• Inspect site conditions before construction to verify compatibility with approved design and permanent works. • Check for obstructions and document existing site conditions with photographs to prevent damage to utilities, structures, and landscaping. • Review and verify delivered materials against approved samples, specifications, and equipment lists; report non‑conformances to the Resident Engineer. • Ensure all materials are properly stored and protected on site to maintain quality and prevent damage or contamination. • Inspect construction of temporary and permanent works for compliance with contract documents, shop drawings, and specifications. • Prepare and maintain daily inspection logs, test reports, and site records in line with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual. • Monitor site safety practices, ensure adherence to approved safety procedures, and report unsafe practices or incidents immediately. • Issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) for deviations and follow up on corrective actions. • Assist in inspecting completed works, prepare punch lists, and monitor testing, commissioning, and handover activities for quality compliance. • Review and provide recommendations on Contractors’ Requests for Information (RFIs) related to civil materials and testing requirements. • Evaluate material variance or substitution requests and provide technical comments and recommendations for approval. • Read and interpret working drawings and specifications, enforce on‑site compliance, and prepare inspection and material testing reports. • Coordinate with third‑party testing laboratories to ensure material tests are performed per project specifications and standards. • Document and maintain all material approvals, test results, NCRs, and inspection records for monthly reporting and project close‑out. • Coordinate with authorities such as Dubai Municipality, RTA, and DEWA for material approvals, testing, and compliance verification.

What You Bring

• Diploma in Engineering required (Bachelor’s preferred for career advancement). • Minimum 7 years experience in construction supervision with a consultancy, specifically on mechanical‑related projects. • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and building codes. • Familiarity with installation processes and procedures for various mechanical systems. • Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures in construction. • Experience in diverse building types, especially high‑rise, mixed‑use residential and commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to produce clear, concise reports. • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques and best practices. • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry. • Proficiency in relevant software tools for inspection and reporting purposes. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Willingness to work on‑site and in various weather conditions.
