About the Role
The engineer will drive long‑range planning for thermal product lines, act as a system architect, and define integration standards that guarantee modular stack interoperability. They will also coordinate product family specifications, set thermal standards and design guidelines, and champion technology initiatives across Data Center Solutions. Leadership duties include overseeing a technical team, mentoring Principal and Staff Engineers globally, and representing the organization in company‑wide thermal initiatives. The position demands deep cross‑domain knowledge in thermal, controls, electrical, and mechanical engineering. • Lead long‑range planning and architecture for data‑center thermal product families. • Define integration standards to ensure modular thermal stack interoperability. • Establish thermal specifications, standards, and design guidelines for the business unit. • Champion thermal technology initiatives and influence across Data Center Solutions. • Supervise and mentor a technical team of Principal and Staff Engineers globally. • Provide cross‑domain expertise in thermal, controls, electrical, and mechanical systems. • Perform heat‑transfer, thermodynamic cycle, fluid‑mechanics, and component sizing analyses using tools such as MathCAD, EES, and CAD software. • Develop prototypes, conduct hands‑on testing, and support CFD/FEA simulations. • Utilize Python, MATLAB/Simulink, and Microsoft 365 for data analysis and automation.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), 14+ years of experience delivering multiple thermal products or systems, and recognized expertise in chiller or large‑industrial HVAC environments. Preferred credentials are a Master’s degree and proficiency with simulation tools such as CFD, FEA, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink, as well as CAD platforms like SolidWorks or Creo. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred) and 14+ years of experience with thermal products, chiller or industrial HVAC systems.
