What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. The role works closely with development and operations teams to build robust infrastructure, automate processes, and enhance system reliability, while collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to align data‑driven strategies with organizational goals. Remote work is supported, with occasional on‑site meetings in Columbia, MD. Candidates must hold an active Top Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and 4‑8 years in a DevOps or related role, along with a current Security+ certification. Required technical skills include Linux/Unix administration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation languages (Python, Go, Bash) and tools (Ansible, Terraform), monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with incident management, performance tuning, capacity planning, and security best practices, plus strong problem‑solving and communication abilities, is essential. Desired qualifications include knowledge of database management and prior experience in a DevOps or Agile environment. This position is part of Parsons’ Federal Solutions team, which delivers resources to U.S. government customers supporting missions worldwide. • Hold an active Top Secret clearance and Security+ certification. • 4‑8 years of experience in DevOps or related role. • Proficient with Linux/Unix, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation tools (Python, Go, Bash, Ansible, Terraform), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience with incident management, performance tuning, capacity planning, and security best practices. • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills. • Knowledge of database management and Agile environment (desired).
