PIPING DESIGNER
Design and support of piping systems, including field layout and laser scanning.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Support plant engineer/construction personnel in designing piping systems and retrofit projects. • Evaluate SOW using P&IDs and specifications to design in alignment with industry standards. • Shoot elevations (as required) with transit and laser level. • Perform Laser Scanning Services (LFM Server). • Provide field support: ISOs, equipment verification and layout, tie-ins (existing to new piping), P&ID corrections and updates. • Prepare project closeouts and engineering/construction packages.

What You Bring
• College degree or Drafting Technology Certificate preferred, not required. • 5-8 years’ experience in piping design. • Project experience in petrochemical preferred. • Experience utilizing AutoCAD. • Familiarity with 3D design tools. • Experience using Laser Scanning Technology and LFM Server preferred. • Knowledge of working in EDMS drawing management systems. • Field experience: ISOs, 2D equipment, plot plan sketches. • Experience working on new piping systems and retrofit projects preferred. • Active TWIC preferred or able to obtain. • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. • Ability to conduct field trips to review project materials, equipment and engage with field personnel.
