About the Role
The Senior Sales Trainer develops, coaches, and enables sales performance for the Closets and Garages divisions, partnering closely with the Regional Sales Manager to onboard new hires, conduct follow‑up training, and support under‑performing reps. This hands‑on role blends classroom instruction, field coaching, process discipline, and performance improvement to drive consistency, accuracy, and execution across the territory. • Own and execute new‑hire sales training program for Closets and Garages (interview, classroom, virtual, in‑field). • Deliver training on sales process, product knowledge, design fundamentals, objection handling, closing techniques, systems usage, and paperwork standards. • Partner with Regional Sales Manager to ensure new hires are fully trained and field‑ready before appointments. • Coordinate training logistics including accommodations, meals, documentation, sales kits, and samples. • Track onboarding progress, system access, software setup, and training resources. • Conduct skill‑gap analysis, develop training materials, and evaluate training effectiveness. • Lead ongoing sales, design, and process training to improve close rate, average ticket, design accuracy, and reduce service issues. • Provide paperwork training and quality control, spot‑checking designs and documentation for accuracy and compliance. • Support field designers with design questions, technical errors, and product or accessory specifications. • Identify Design Consultants needing extra support and deliver targeted coaching, follow‑up training, and improvement plans. • Conduct ride‑alongs, shadowing, and follow‑up coaching to reinforce standards and expectations. • Maintain a strong field presence to observe customer interactions and model best practices. • Act as an extension of the Regional Sales Manager to reinforce accountability, expectations, and execution standards. • Support sales‑related projects such as playbooks, SOPs, tools, scripts, presentations, and workflow improvements. • Assist with rollouts of new products, pricing, programs, and sales initiatives. • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations to align training with install and service expectations. • Provide administrative support within ClosetPro, including backend functionality and process assistance. • Stay current on market trends, product updates, and changes within the corporate sales environment. • Assist with scheduling, prioritization, hiring input, and performance feedback as needed. • Achieve territory KPIs: net sales, net close percentage, average ticket, sales per lead, and reduce sales‑driven service issues. • Maintain training quality metrics: time‑to‑first sale, 60‑day KPI attainment, and 180‑day rep retention.

What You Bring
The position requires regular travel within the assigned territory, occasional evening and weekend virtual support, and is performed primarily in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Physical demands include long periods of seated desk work and the occasional lifting or moving of up to 35 lb. • Require 3‑5+ years of in‑home sales, sales leadership, or sales training experience, preferably in home improvement. • Experience in design‑driven sales environments (closets, garages) and strong organizational, detail‑oriented, process‑focused skills. • Proven ability to coach sales skills and execution discipline; comfortable delivering group and one‑on‑one training. • Data‑driven mindset to diagnose performance and process issues; willingness to travel within the territory. • Minimum 2 years design experience, 2 years hands‑on CAD experience, high school diploma (some college preferred). • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to align clients and internal partners on design, payments, ordering, and technical support. • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; CAD proficiency required; ClosetPRO experience preferred. • Physical ability to sit at a desk for long periods and lift/move up to 35 lb occasionally.
