About the Role

The primary purpose of the position is to perform advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving in support of Clean Energy Center (CEC) operations, making technical decisions and applying detailed knowledge of industry codes and regulations. Key duties include providing in‑depth technical expertise, managing engineering analyses and programs, resolving equipment and system problems, ensuring accurate and timely work with proper configuration management, conducting independent research and analyses, and recommending innovative concepts to improve performance and reduce costs. • Provide in‑depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical consultation. • Manage engineering tasks end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery. • Apply general engineering principles to assigned technical tasks. • Ensure configuration management and compliance with design criteria, practices, and codes in plans and specifications. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for regulatory and technical projects. • Recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs, or meet code changes. • Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage activities as needed.

What You Bring

Mid‑level (E02) engineers must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) and have at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience, as well as meet access and medical requirements. Senior (E03) engineers must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) and have at least 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience, along with the required access and medical clearances. Preferred qualifications include an Engineer‑in‑Training certification.
