About the Role

Key duties include servicing, repairing, maintaining, monitoring, and adjusting HVAC systems; conducting general maintenance, custodial tasks, and minor groundskeeping; providing direction and training to less experienced O&M specialists; planning and preparing materials for service and preventive maintenance; interpreting drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions; requisitioning supplies; adhering to safety procedures; and participating in an on‑call rotation for emergencies. • Service, repair, monitor, and adjust HVAC and other mechanical building systems. • Perform general maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, custodial duties, and minor groundskeeping. • Train and guide less‑experienced O&M specialists. • Prepare materials, read schematics/blueprints, and follow verbal instructions for work orders. • Requisition supplies and adhere to established safety procedures. • Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency response.

What You Bring

The role involves performing a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building‑system environment with a strong emphasis on HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and plumbing. A working knowledge of electrical/electronic BAS systems is considered a plus. Candidates must have a two‑year technical degree or an equivalent apprenticeship, plus at least five years of operations and maintenance experience. They should possess in‑depth maintenance knowledge, basic electrical skills, the physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces, and be comfortable using hand and power tools or a man‑lift. The position requires flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, a valid driver’s license, strong teamwork, and the ability to pass a thorough background check and interview. Preferred qualifications include a Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification and familiarity with Metasys building management systems. • Minimum two‑year technical degree or apprenticeship plus 5+ years O&M experience. • Strong maintenance fundamentals and basic electrical knowledge. • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; proficient with hand/power tools and man‑lifts. • Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays; valid driver’s license required. • Preferred: Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification and Metasys BMS experience.
