About the Role
• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding data to stakeholders. • Coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors for validation and auditing. • Compile built cost records for benchmarking and continuous improvement. • Lead procurement strategy, review contractor/subcontractor pricing, validate scope and negotiate fair contract prices. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement. • Own change control: review, estimate, negotiate, reconcile change orders and manage post‑contract cost variances. • Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, contingency management and commitment tracking. • Implement robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost with schedule and scope, working closely with project controls and scheduling teams. • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact and lead value engineering initiatives. • Monitor market trends (escalation, labour availability, material pricing) and provide timely insights. • Act as primary client interface, delivering service excellence and meeting objectives. • Prepare and present executive‑level updates and written comments on contractor submissions. • Ensure adherence to internal Business Management Systems and company delivery methodologies. • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high‑performance, one‑business culture. • Track financial performance, including margin, monthly fee and resource forecasts across commissions. • Follow SOX control responsibilities as applicable.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to serve as the key day‑to‑day client interface and deliver a value‑added cost management service on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. The role ensures the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards, with strong emphasis on governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate thrives in client‑facing environments, works both independently and collaboratively, and leads while embedding the purpose, values and vision of Turner & Townsend. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field. • Possess 5–7+ years of cost management/project controls experience in mission‑critical environments. • Prefer construction consultancy experience and knowledge of MEP systems and hyperscale data centre infrastructure. • Demonstrate strong budgeting, financial reporting, cost control and Earned Value Management skills. • Expertise in procurement strategies and commercial management of contractor/vendor contracts. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is advantageous. • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and analytical abilities. • Proficient with industry‑standard cost management tools and software.
