About the Role

Job Summary: Working alongside other departments and the Group Procurement Team, you will ensure that products are available for Taylor Wimpey Business Units in a timely manner while keeping inventory levels within agreed limits. Internal applicants should inform their line manager if they wish to apply for this role. • Work closely with the Planning Manager, Procurement Team and suppliers to ensure the demand plan is robust and contains the most up-to-date business information. • Analyse the forecast and identify risks and opportunities within the business, raise challenges, propose changes and efficiently escalate issues. • Identify root causes for demand errors and support Business Units in addressing them. • Raise purchase orders to ensure stock is available for known customer demand and contingent stock for short‑lead orders. • Support continuous improvement initiatives for the stock team, inventory management processes and systems to develop efficiencies and support future growth. • Train new starters on upstream and downstream processes, share best practices and collaborate with other departments as necessary. • Assist the Planning Manager with identifying and managing obsolete stock. • Update and distribute KPI reports. • Work collaboratively with the Planning Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager to streamline processes and improve stock availability.

What You Bring

• Previous experience in the housebuilding industry. • Self‑motivated and able to work autonomously. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Knowledge of Sage X3/COINs. • Experience in SIOP/materials planning.
