About the Role

The successful candidate will act as the technical engineer and subject matter expert for advanced theories, concepts, and processes within an assigned area. This includes tackling complex, innovative problems, leading major projects of moderate to large scope, and serving as a spokesperson for advanced initiatives. Key responsibilities encompass providing technical leadership, conducting research, advising management and customers, managing bid and evaluation processes, and mentoring less‑experienced engineers and technicians. The role also involves overseeing budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and work‑order management to support both existing and future projects. • Serve as technical SME, applying advanced theories to complex problems. • Lead multiple critical projects from research through commissioning. • Advise management and customers on advanced technical studies and applications. • Manage bid and evaluation processes, preparing documents and recommending selections. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, interns, and technicians. • Oversee budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and work‑order management for projects. • Act as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and programs.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications vary by level. Staff Engineers need a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and at least two years of relevant experience, with an EIT/FE strongly preferred. Senior Engineers require a bachelor's degree and either five years of experience with an EIT/FE or seven years without, and a PE may be preferred. Principal Engineers must hold a bachelor's degree and nine years of experience with a PE, or fifteen years without a PE. • Staff Engineer: BA/BS in Engineering, 2+ years experience, EIT/FE preferred. • Senior Engineer: BA/BS in Engineering, 5+ years with EIT/FE or 7+ years without; PE preferred. • Principal Engineer: BA/BS in Engineering, 9+ years with PE or 15+ years without PE.
