About the Role
Key responsibilities include analyzing and preparing complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and providing sound analysis for accurate property‑line locations. You will perform quality‑control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. The role requires assisting staff in preparing reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents, as well as organizing and coordinating field and office staff for complex projects. Additional duties involve developing project work plans, directing staff to meet objectives, and monitoring the work of assigned personnel, sub‑consultants, and contractors. • Prepare and analyze complete boundary surveys using compiled record data. • Conduct quality‑control reviews of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. • Assist and coordinate field and office staff on complex surveying projects. • Develop project and task work plans and provide direction to team members. • Monitor performance of assigned staff, sub‑consultants, and contractors. • Apply advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, measurement systems, trigonometry, and geometry. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and ensure safe vehicle operation. • Contribute to construction surveying and 3D‑scanning registration as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma/GED; an Associate degree or equivalent technical experience is preferred. At least five years of related surveying experience is required, with DOT project experience considered a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory, while MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads skills are highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, angular and linear measurement systems, trigonometry, and geometry is essential. A valid driver’s license, ability to read and write English, and construction surveying or 3D‑scanning registration experience are advantageous. • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D; apply MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads when needed.
