About the Role

• Advise clients on vendor prequalification, bid strategies, and make final recommendations. • Lead bid interviews and manage the appointment process. • Develop full project cost estimates, review junior estimations, and present estimates with value‑engineering recommendations to clients. • Validate and challenge vendor costs using benchmark data from other projects. • Establish cost‑reporting schedule, present cost reports and forecasts, maintain a commercial risk register, and host periodic meetings with the project team and vendors. • Review payment applications, recommend contractor entitlements, assess change‑order requests, and manage contractual disputes. • Oversee invoicing, benchmark performance against other commissions, and manage final accounting, post‑contract audits, and close‑outs. • Conduct post‑contract reviews, capture lessons learned, and develop training manuals. • Develop handover procedures and utilize bid analysis sheets, change control forms, cost‑estimating and take‑off software. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related field. • 3–5 years of cost‑management experience on medium to large construction projects. • RICS accreditation (or working towards it) is valued. • Experience in construction consultancy is strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering. • Excellent communication skills.
