About the Role
The role requires performing third‑party inspections of building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety systems, preparing daily time and field reports, and applying extensive knowledge of code regulations, policies, and procedures. Project‑management duties include reviewing plans, providing technical support, conducting inspections, monitoring performance and budget, preparing proposals, attending site meetings, and resolving technical and administrative issues. The manager may also mentor other inspectors and assist with P&L management, client interactions, marketing, and business‑development activities related to code inspections. • Perform third‑party inspections of building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety systems. • Prepare and submit daily time and field inspection reports per ECS policy. • Manage code‑compliance projects: plan review, technical support, inspections, performance and budget monitoring, proposal preparation, site meetings, and issue resolution. • Mentor and train other building inspectors. • Assist with P&L management, client interactions, marketing, and business development for code inspections. • Lead high‑profile projects with technical complexity and visibility. • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive work environment valuing expertise and continuous learning.

What You Bring
ECS is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager for the Southwest Facilities team in San Antonio, TX, to lead inspection and plan review projects that align with state and local building codes. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, as well as strong project‑management capabilities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of code‑compliance inspection or plan‑review experience, and a valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or II); IECC certification is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license if driving for the company. • Apply extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of code‑compliance inspection or plan‑review experience. • Possess at least one valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I/II); IECC certification preferred. • Maintain a valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
