About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will own the full project lifecycle, from option studies and design through procurement, construction and commissioning, providing client‑side management and governance. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring projects meet quality, cost and schedule targets while maintaining strong client relationships. • Lead multi‑disciplinary water capital projects from option studies through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. • Provide client‑side project management, including stakeholder engagement, health & safety, risk, quality, schedule, and NEC contract administration. • Mentor and support Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices while managing subcontractors and remote resources. • Establish and maintain governance structures, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional teams, supporting business development and bid submissions. • Ensure projects are delivered to client satisfaction regarding quality, cost, and timeline.

What You Bring

We are seeking Senior and Associate Project Managers with proven water‑industry delivery experience to join our Infrastructure Project Management team for the £88 bn AMP8 investment period. Positions are based across our North, Midlands, Scotland and national offices, supporting water companies and government bodies on capital investment projects. Candidates should have at least six years of consulting project‑management experience, preferably in the water sector, with hands‑on knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts and the ability to produce bid submissions. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, and professional qualifications such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2, as well as membership of a chartered body, are desirable. Strong communication, relationship‑building, IT and numeracy skills are essential. • Possess minimum 6 years of consulting project‑management experience, preferably in the water sector, with NEC3/4 contract expertise. • Demonstrate ability to lead teams, manage client relationships and produce bid documentation. • Hold a relevant degree (engineering, construction, environmental science) or equivalent experience; APM/PRINCE2 qualification desirable. • Proficient in digital tools, IT systems and possess strong numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
