About the Role
Perform routine welding work on HVAC units according to blueprints, company standards, and applicable inspection criteria. This role ensures that all welding meets defined requirements and upholds quality standards. The incumbent executes routine welding tasks, sets up and maintains welding machines for vertical, horizontal, and overhead welds, and inspects welds for cracks, burn through, and spatter. They use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, grind and clean work areas as needed, and stay current with Total Productive Maintenance and basic mechanical adjustments on equipment. • Perform routine welding on HVAC units per blueprints and inspection standards • Set up and maintain welding machines for vertical, horizontal, and overhead welds • Inspect welds for cracks, burn through, and spatter • Use hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required • Grind and clean work areas • Follow TPM practices and perform basic mechanical adjustments • Adhere to hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures • Read and use tape measure for precise measurements • Interpret blueprints and weld symbols • Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines

What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with 1‑3 years of welding experience. Prior exposure to Lean Manufacturing processes is also advantageous. Candidates should have the ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements, interpret blueprints and weld symbols, and possess process knowledge to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines. Welding certifications are preferred but not required, and applicants must be able to pass the required welding certification test while communicating professionally and working effectively in a team environment. The work environment involves frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and occasional chemical fumes.
