About the Role

The role leads, develops, and executes large‑scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and engineered equipment contracts for projects typically greater than $250 M. It utilizes construction contract expertise to procure turnkey contracts, implement savings strategies, negotiate commercial terms, and manage risk mitigation and post‑award contract plans, including KPIs and supplier reviews to optimize execution. You will execute contracting and procurement tactics for high‑value capital projects, develop should‑cost models, define technical bid requirements, and lead bidding events. You will direct bid evaluation teams, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with Category Management to capture value. Post‑award, you will manage supplier performance, KPIs, and risk mitigation, ensure proper invoice documentation, and oversee contractor training and compliance. Complex negotiations, dispute resolution, and modification analysis will be handled independently, while integrating sourcing plans with enterprise‑wide standardization. • Execute contracting and procurement strategy for large‑scale capital projects ($250M+). • Develop should‑cost models, technical bid requirements, and lead bidding events. • Lead bid evaluation teams, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with Category Management. • Manage post‑award supplier performance, KPIs, risk mitigation, and invoice compliance. • Oversee contractor training, compliance with corporate policies, and dispute resolution.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, construction management, business, or a related field, with an MBA and CPSM certification strongly preferred. Eight years of purchasing or sourcing experience, including construction contract work, expert contract knowledge, and advanced negotiation and project management skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems, strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, and a results‑oriented, customer‑focused attitude are essential. Up to 20 % travel is expected and a valid driver’s license is required. Preferred experience includes utility industry exposure, contract administration for construction services, and EPC construction contracting.
