About the Role
Technical Sales Interns support consulting and sales activities by learning to identify customers’ business needs, analyzing data, applying defined technical processes, and providing basic support for meetings and tours under supervision. Interns also assist with RFI/P/Q preparation, develop portions of customer deliverables with oversight, communicate with internal and external customers, and help coordinate pre‑sale support for Equinix products and services. • Identify customers’ business needs, challenges, and technical requirements. • Analyze basic to moderate‑scope data and situations to develop solutions. • Follow defined technical processes and provide scripted support for customer meetings and tours. • Assist in preparing RFI/P/Q responses and develop parts of deliverables under supervision. • Provide basic technical assistance during sales presentations, customer meetings, and trade shows. • Collaborate with internal teams (CSM, OM, IM, Ops) to ensure smooth project transitions. • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and support sales teams in earning new business.

What You Bring
Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sales, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, expect to graduate between August 2026 and May 2027, and be available for a hybrid internship in Chicago from June to August 2026. • Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, coordinating pre‑sale support. • Demonstrate foundational knowledge of Equinix data‑center, network, and cloud products and the competitive landscape. • Pursue a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Sales, MIS, Data Science, or related discipline. • Expected graduation between August 2026 and May 2027. • Available for a hybrid internship in Chicago from June‑August 2026. • Open to guidance from senior Sales Engineers and leadership.
