We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard. You will provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items, acting as a trusted advisor who delivers solutions at the time of service. Apprentices will be trained to work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites and will participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy. Coaching and mentorship will help develop skills to troubleshoot technical issues and address customer needs. You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and any issues, and you will meet attendance requirements for Union training during the first year. Recommendations, solutions, and upselling opportunities will be offered to ensure facility efficiency, and quotes will be prepared to support those recommendations. Candidates must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (UA) and have at least one year of experience servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques. Effective interpersonal skills are needed to represent Johnson Controls professionally, along with leadership abilities to support mechanics on non‑complex HVAC equipment. A self‑starter attitude, ability to work independently, dedication to safety, and a valid driver’s license are essential; 1‑2 years of trade school or college technical education is preferred. • Be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (UA). • Have at least 1+ year of experience in the HVAC industry or servicing mechanical systems. • Possess knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, site preparation, and equipment installation. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally. • Show leadership ability to support mechanics on non‑complex HVAC equipment. • Be a self‑starter capable of working independently. • Maintain a valid driver’s license. • Prefer 1‑2 years of trade school or college technical education.

The position offers an hourly rate of $22.70, determined by the collective bargaining agreement rate sheet, with benefits provided through a local labor union. While the posted salary reflects the target compensation, exceptional candidates with unique skills may be considered beyond the stated range.
