About the Role

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams for tailings storage facility projects. • Integrate operational input by liaising with operations, project managers, and clients. • Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops. • Ensure designs meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and AECOM quality requirements. • Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall delivery. • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships as a trusted advisor. • Oversee planning, design, and construction support phases. • Mentor engineers and support their technical development. • Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and design packages. • Support bid preparation and proposal development for new projects. • Inspire design leads to fulfill earned value management practices. • Collaborate on design solutions for TSFs, sand embankments, cyclone stations, pipelines, seepage control, and water management. • Champion health, safety, and environmental excellence and integrate risk management. • Resolve team and client conflicts professionally while upholding technical requirements. • Contribute to financial management, including contract negotiation and change management. • Review and guide earned value management reporting. • Provide career development and foster innovation within the engineering team. • Travel up to 10% to project sites.

What You Bring

• BA/BS with 10+ years of relevant experience and at least 2 years of leadership. • Preferred: MA/MS in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis. • Preferred: 15 years of relevant experience. • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
