About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the assistant will help prepare quotations, tender documents, and small‑value subcontractor orders, while monitoring work programmes, health‑and‑safety documentation, and on‑site progress. The position also involves supporting design and site meetings, maintaining lifecycle schedules, and ensuring that all activities comply with Rydon’s quality and governance standards and stay within budgetary limits. • Assist with client requests and prepare quotations for small works. • Draft and issue tender documentation. • Create and issue small‑value subcontractor orders. • Oversee instructed works, update work programmes and RAMS, place orders, and report progress to clients. • Support design and site meetings to ensure contract requirements are met. • Maintain and update lifecycle schedules and collate O&M information post‑completion. • Keep key business systems current for accurate reporting. • Ensure compliance with Rydon’s quality, health, safety, environmental and HR policies. • Deliver services within budget and contractual constraints.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will have experience or a solid understanding of facilities operations or project management, alongside budgeting, planning and analytical skills. Knowledge of construction techniques, Building Regulations, and a willingness to obtain IOSH Managing Safely, CSCS and SMSTS certifications are required, with a relevant degree or HNC considered desirable. Strong communication, influencing abilities, and a full UK driving licence are also essential. • Experience or knowledge of facilities operations or project management. • Understanding of budgeting, planning and strong analytical skills. • Knowledge of construction techniques and Building Regulations. • Willingness to obtain IOSH Managing Safely, CSCS, and SMSTS certifications. • Degree or HNC in a relevant building‑related discipline (desirable). • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing abilities. • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances. • Full UK driving licence.
