About the Role

The Data Governance Analyst supports enterprise data governance and stewardship across data domains, working with data owners, stewards, analytics and AI teams to operationalize tools, define and monitor data quality, resolve issues, and ensure data assets are documented, governed, and ready for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases. The role focuses on stewardship execution, metadata quality controls, workflow management, and user enablement to drive consistent adoption of governance practices. • Support data owners and stewards in executing governance policies across assigned data domains. • Identify, document, and track data quality, definition, usage, lineage, or compliance issues and coordinate their resolution. • Design, execute, and continuously improve governance workflows for metadata creation, review, approval, and change management. • Define and apply quality checkpoints to validate metadata and stewardship inputs before publishing to the data catalog. • Monitor catalog content for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards, and remediate gaps or inconsistencies. • Define, document, and maintain business terms, data definitions, and contextual metadata for structured and unstructured assets. • Establish data quality rules, thresholds, and acceptance criteria aligned to reporting, analytics, and operational needs. • Monitor data quality metrics, analyze trends and issues, and coordinate remediation efforts with appropriate teams. • Enable analytics and AI readiness by ensuring data is well‑defined, governed, documented, and compliant. • Create and maintain user guides, job aids, and training materials to support data stewards and tool adoption. • Ensure adherence to data governance policies and maintain documentation required for audits and reviews.

What You Bring

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics or related field with 8+ years of data governance or management experience. • Hands‑on experience with data governance or catalog tools such as Alation, Collibra, BigID, or Informatica Axon. • Experience supporting stewardship, metadata management, governance workflows, and data quality processes across multiple domains. • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills with a detail‑oriented, process‑driven mindset. • Preferred: Master's degree and experience in a large, complex global organization or consulting firm. • No sponsorship for US work authorization or relocation assistance is available.
