About the Role
The Service/Telematics Planner supports the Equipment Services department by handling system administration, process improvements, telematics coordination, preventative‑maintenance tracking, and equipment‑data accuracy, acting as a liaison among field technicians, mechanics, accounting, and management to ensure efficient equipment utilization, maintenance, and billing. • Assist Equipment Services with system administration, IT support, and process improvements. • Coordinate telematics devices across the heavy equipment fleet (e.g., Vision Link, JD Link, iCraneTrax). • Ensure equipment data accuracy in mobile and web applications. • Maintain accurate equipment data across OEM and fleet management platforms (CAT, CAT Inspect, etc.). • Manage fuel and DEF inventories, entries, and month‑end reporting. • Track machine control and survey gear inventory, internal transfers, and documentation. • Monitor preventative‑maintenance work orders, assign to technicians, track status, and ensure timely closure. • Process equipment‑related invoices for fuel, DEF, and telematics. • Perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for fuel, telematics, and inventory. • Support field lube technicians and mechanics with JD Edwards (E1) questions, training, and troubleshooting. • Collaborate effectively with field technicians, mechanics, accounting, and management. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices for communication. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Occasionally climb stairs or ladders. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Interact with people regularly throughout the shift. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb. • Sit, stand, or walk short distances for the duration of the shift. • Work various shifts, including swing, night, and weekend schedules.

What You Bring
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne; heavy‑job experience preferred. • Familiarity with preventative‑maintenance programs, equipment servicing workflows, and work‑order management. • High school diploma or GED required. • Prior experience in heavy‑equipment dealership, construction equipment management, or fleet maintenance. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. • Understanding of heavy‑equipment operations, maintenance cycles, and utilization tracking. • Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hat). • Frequently reach above shoulder height and below the waist.
