About the Role

You will manage cost planning, own and present cost plans to clients and internal stakeholders, and oversee the procurement process from pre‑qualification through contract preparation. You will manage fiscally and ethically viable operations, aligning business objectives with legislative compliance. You will work collaboratively toward the net‑zero carbon transition, proactively identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions, and hold others accountable to Mace values. What You Bring

Within our consult business we harness a unique combination of leading‑edge practical expertise and project delivery to unlock the potential in every project. • Hold a degree in engineering, quantity surveying, business management, accounting, economics or a related discipline. • Possess significant experience in cost engineering or project controls on complex projects. • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail in interpreting complex data. • Experience in infrastructure, rail, civil engineering, major programmes, large‑scale government or capital projects. • Familiarity with risk and change management. • Professional accreditation or pursuit of membership (e.g., ACostE, ICE, RICS) and MRICS/RICS status. • Commercial and financial acumen, knowledge of value engineering, life‑cycle costing, contract law and construction contracts. • Experience managing project components within large, diverse teams and senior stakeholder relationships.
