About the Role

• Provide construction management support, including daily progress reports, blueprint review, and assistance with project start‑up and close‑out. • Review and maintain field books, daily reports, and safety logs in consultation with superintendents. • Arrange trucking, order fulfillment, and equipment delivery, ensuring correctness and functionality. • Document and recommend improvements to company process standards. • Perform basic field quality and safety inspections, record compliance, and promote safety culture. • Track construction progress with photos and manage record‑keeping administration. • Develop spreadsheets and tools to aid project leadership in inventory, equipment, purchasing, and lean tracking.

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator I for its Data Center Structured Cabling team. The role provides day‑to‑day support of specific construction activities under direct supervision, allowing the individual to gain hands‑on skills and technical knowledge. Responsibilities will expand as the person develops technical aptitude and demonstrates independent performance. Job postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days and average about 44 days. Mortenson does not accept unsolicited agency communications without a valid agreement. • Demonstrate learned skills consistently and perform other construction duties as assigned. • High school diploma or equivalent; or non‑technical 2‑year degree; or 2‑year construction degree. • Prior construction experience preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet tools. • Ability to learn and use construction‑management software. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Capability to handle detailed information, meet deadlines, and multitask.

The position requires 100% travel on a rotating schedule across the United States, with locations including NM, MN, WY, WI, and IN. Base compensation ranges from $27.55 to $37.21 per hour, with higher rates for certain office locations such as Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
