About the Role

In this role you will manage customer relationships, design and configure complex building automation systems, and ensure successful commissioning and training. You will also coordinate documentation, field changes, and value‑engineered solutions while maintaining strict safety standards. • Develop and maintain customer relationship throughout the Facility Consulting Services Contract. • Design and configure complex building control systems, creating flow diagrams, sequences of operation, BOMs, network layouts and electrical schematics. • Configure and program HVAC building automation (DDC) systems and develop controller sequences. • Develop and test software programs to meet project specifications. • Commission and troubleshoot building control systems to ensure proper operation. • Load and commission system and network‑level controllers, validating functionality with subcontractors. • Support pre‑design site surveys and prepare control system shop drawing and product literature submittals. • Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittal packages to customers, consultants, and field teams. • Provide field change information for as‑built drawings (Visio/CAD) and software updates. • Communicate job status and issues to management and customers. • Conduct site‑specific training for owners/operators on the total building control system. • Participate in release meetings and perform value engineering for cost‑effective results. • Adhere to all safety standards, ensuring employee and subcontractor safety.

What You Bring

• 5+ years experience with Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, including programming, configuration, visualization, and integration. • Strong knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation and related subsystems. • Proficiency with Metasys and Johnson Controls legacy product lines. • Experience integrating low‑voltage building subsystems using LON, BACnet, Modbus, etc. • Advanced computer skills; AutoCAD and/or Visio preferred. • Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, including Q clearance. • Preferred: experience creating SCT databases, custom programs, schedules, trends, alarms, and programming modules. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. • Recognized by Fortune, Forbes, Corporate Knights, CDP, Drucker Institute, Newsweek and Ethisphere for sustainability, diversity, and ethical leadership.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $90,000‑$120,000 plus bonus, negotiable based on experience, and is located on the National Security Campus in Kansas City. Employees receive benefits from day one, three weeks of paid vacation, floating holidays, sick days, and a total of 6.5 weeks paid time off, with limited travel required. • Salary $90k‑$120k plus bonus, negotiable based on experience. • Eligible for benefits on first day; 3 weeks vacation, 3 floating holidays, 5 sick days, 10 standard holidays (6.5 weeks PTO). • Limited travel; work based on‑site at Kansas City National Security Campus.
