About the Role

Key duties include completing routine PPM in line with site schedules, carrying out reactive repairs, and identifying opportunities for improvement in building fabric and concessionary stores. The engineer must manage subcontractors, enforce safety compliance, operate the Permit to Work system, and ensure plant faults are remedied promptly. Additional responsibilities cover maintaining spare‑part inventories, completing paperwork, preparing method statements and risk assessments, updating the maintenance management system, and producing near‑miss and risk reports while adhering to health and safety, KPI, and SLA requirements. • Perform routine PPM on all mechanical and electrical plant according to schedules. • Carry out reactive repairs and identify improvement opportunities. • Manage subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance and work approvals. • Operate the Permit to Work system per BGIS and client procedures. • Diagnose and remediate plant faults quickly to maintain serviceability. • Maintain spare‑part inventory and provide parts lists with time estimates. • Complete and submit paperwork for reactive and breakdown work promptly. • Prepare method statements and risk assessments for all tasks. • Build strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients. • Wear required uniform and PPE; keep plant rooms locked, clean, and tidy. • Supervise subcontractor activities on site. • Update the Computer‑Based Maintenance System (e.g., Maximo) with accurate task closures. • Produce near‑miss reports, dynamic risk assessments, and site activity records. • Verify LOTO system operation and monitor building conditions via BMS. • Adhere to health & safety requirements, contractual KPIs, and SLAs.
